The South Asian International Association for Early Childhood Care and Development, in collaboration with the ECCD authorities of the provinces of Sri Lanka, is implementing the ‘International Project for Capacity Development of Early Childhood Development Teachers’ (IPFCD). Through this project, an online lecture series will be conducted on:

• STEAM Education in Early Childhood Education
• Modern Approaches in Early Childhood Education
• Best Practices of STEAM in Early Childhood Education
• Early Childhood Education in Other Countries
• Communication Skills Development in the English Language

Lectures will be conducted in:

• English
• Sinhala
• Tamil

Participants will be qualified as modern ECCD teachers with new pedagogical approaches and up-to-date knowledge in early childhood education. They will gain comprehensive knowledge on STEAM education and be empowered with best practices in ECCD from other South Asian countries.

ECCD teachers can register for the lecture series by submitting an application. This is a completely free lecture series for ECCD teachers in South Asian countries.

At the end, participants’ competencies will be evaluated, and those who complete all the lectures successfully will receive an “Advanced Certificate in STEAM Education and Modern Approaches.”

In addition, ECCD teachers have the opportunity to receive certification as:

• Qualified with 21st Century Skills
• Qualified to Lead a STEAM-Based ECCD Center
• Master Teacher in STEAM Education

ECCD centers can obtain certification as a:

• “STEAM-Implemented ECCD Center”
